Daily Devotional: March 10, 2010

Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12

Sometimes its hard to find peace in life. With demands from work, family, friends, church and countless other areas, our lives often feel fragmented and frazzled.

But for a moment, think about Jesus. Think about all the people coming to Him with their needs—for healing, for teaching. Rarely do we see Jesus walking through the scriptures without someone placing a demand… a request upon Him.

But also, never do we see Jesus fragmented or frazzled. Rather, we see calm… a surreal calm and peace.

Jesus was living in the peace bestowed by the Father. His Father. Our Father.

God wants peace for our lives. And He has the power and the love to give it to us.

There are no demands, no accomplishments, no stresses that He has not already seen and guided.

So today, push aside the worry for just a moment… and trust in the Peace that surpasses all understanding.
