! Album Alert: Tuesday, October 27, 2009

By Andy Argyrakis

TWEENS TIME TWO

The Radio Disney-loving audience is sure to find some spiritual sustenance in two new iShine albums. Girl group The Rubyz release Sound Off and are perfect for fans of Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and even Kelly Clarkson. For the boys, Mission Six turns in Not Too Young crossing the lines of The Jonas Brothers with Jump5 (plus a bit of pop/punk thrown in for extra ammunition).

THE CHRISTIAN SIDE OF COUNTRY

The line between country and Christian music continues to blur in a beneficial way thanks to Songs4Worship: Country Live (Time Life/Integrity Music). Look forward to familiar faces like Alison Krauss & Union Station, former Lonestar singer Richie McDonald, Randy Travis, Collin Raye and even Susan Ashton (amongst many more) turning in a mixture of classic hymns and contemporary church tunes.

RAISE YOUR HANDS WITH RIZEN

Gospel duo with a groove Rizen is back with Free (Verity Records), which tips its hat at old school styles merged with present tense R&B reflections. Look for uplifting cuts like "He'll Make a Way," "Just For Me (He Did It)," plus a remix of the title track. It's a disc sure to strike the fancy of BeBe & CeCe Winans fans or Mary Mary appreciators.
